​We find this a good box to start with for plein air painting. The box is not too large (or small) will fit most everything of your basic needs for oil or acrylic painting. You cannot easily fit full size tubes in this box. We recommend the smaller golden or Winsor & Newton tubes or make your own with empty paint tubes.
The box opens to lie flat for water color painters and upright for oil or acrylic painters. There is room in the lid to store back to back wet or dry 8 X 10 Panels. It also comes with a universal tripod mount at the bottom of the box so you cam mount it on any suitable camera tripod.
